Approach

I use relational and psychodynamic frameworks with clients, which means I consider the ways in which early environments and relationships impact the developing self. I consider the role of intersecting identities, impacts of systems of power, and use a trauma-informed approach* as I work to understand my clients’ processes, experiences, and ultimately their paths toward healing.

*What does trauma-informed mean? I use the guiding principles of safety, choice, collaboration, trustworthiness, and empowerment in our work to hold and contain the ways trauma may have shaped your experience. I believe that your nervous system and body hold wisdom and know how to heal, given the right circumstances.

Interests

I have a particular interest in working with women, queer and trans spectrum folks, adolescents, relationship partners, twins, and adult children of parents with personality disorders. I am committed to working with white folks who are in the process of becoming anti-racist, no matter where you are on your journey.

Identity

I identify as a queer femme, cisgender, white woman. My pronouns are she/her/hers.
